Why Face-to-Face Fundraising?

ECAD has launched face-to-face fundraising – also known as canvassing – as an important way to raise funds so we can help more people living with disabilities achieve greater independence through the use of a Service Dog. You may meet ECAD representatives in your city. They’re dedicated and passionate people, committed to helping people with disabilities. What’s more, they’re knowledgeable about the work we do and the lives improved.

Face-to-face is one of the most successful ways to bring thousands of compassionate supporters to the ECAD family, as it allows us to speak to more people on a daily basis as compared to other fundraising methods.

Furthermore, Meeting our fundraisers face-to-face allows you to have a personal conversation, perhaps to share your concerns about Assistance Dogs, and to learn how you can make a tremendous difference in the lives of people living with disabilities. You’ll have a chance to ask questions and get to know us firsthand — and learn how you can contribute in a meaningful way on an ongoing basis.

Is my information secure?

Absolutely! Protecting your personal and financial information is our number one priority. That’s why our fundraisers use tablets to collect information electronically in compliance with Payment Card Industry regulations for financial data security.

How Your Gift Helps

Our group of compassionate monthly givers, fondly known as Champions, are key in sustaining the mission of ECAD. ECAD Monthly Givers are generous donors who support ECAD consistently throughout the year by making automatic monthly donations.

Olivia_Makeawish.jpgMonthly Giving in Action…

Olivia was just 4 years old when she was placed with Garfield. And for the next almost ten years, he was her constant companion—helping her to gain independence as she grew up like other girls her age.¢She’s an active Girl Scout, she attends school. And, her parents no longer had to worry about hearing her ventilator at night. Garfield alerts to that. She’s been able to be more independent because of her Service Dog, while her family gained piece of mind. Last year, Olivia returned for her second Service Dog—Ella. Because of sustaining gifts, she hasn’t had to miss one day of independence. And, hopefully never will.

Weren’t quite ready to sign up with one of our fundraisers?  No problem! You can become a champion right now!
